Citizens Commercial Banking has hired Jason Jones as community development market manager for the Greater Pittsburgh region. In this role, he will play a pivotal role connecting Citizens with community leaders.
Jones joins Citizens from Idea Foundry, an economic development agency in Pittsburgh, where he served as director of entrepreneurship. He also works as an adjunct professor at the Community College of Allegheny County, where he teaches students about business development and entrepreneurship. Jones previously served as community development divisional manager for Woodforest National Bank. He received his BS in Organizational Leadership and his MS in Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University.
Jones currently serves on several boards, including the Urban Redevelopment Authority. He has received a number of awards such as the New Pittsburgh Courier's Fab 40 and Pittsburgh Magazine's 40 under 40.

Citizens' Community Development Group has committed more than $3 billion in loans and investments to support the development and rehabilitation of affordable housing units and economic revitalization activities in its communities. These efforts have resulted in more than 20,000 new or rehabilitated housing units and the development of more than 460,000 square feet of commercial space in low- and moderate-income communities served by Citizens. Through Citizens' Financial Education Community Ambassador program, more than 500 community ambassadors have delivered financial education sessions to over 82,600 people.
