Valley National Bancorp, the holding company for Valley National Bank, has appointed Fabian Rojas to executive vice president, chief information officer.
Rojas joined Valley in 2017 as first senior vice president - chief technology officer. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial services and pharma life sciences industries with a strong focus on delivering revenue growing initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, consolidations and integrations.
Prior to joining Valley, Rojas served as global chief technology officer at Sanofi and managing director of infrastructure services at TD Ameritrade. In these roles, he earned valuable experience spanning infrastructure architecture, engineering and operations with demonstrated success in designing and implementing technology strategies to improve and support both business and operational needs.
As CIO, Rojas will continue implementing company-wide technology solutions that align with the banks’ corporate goals. Some of these initiatives include the bank’s critical data center migration, the evolution of a future state operating model and the transformation of Valley’s core operating system.
